J.Lo and A-Rod’s relationship is gone.

According to insiders, the power couple has formally ended their two-year engagement.

Alex Rodriguez, 45, and Jennifer Lopez, 51, met for the first time roughly 15 years ago before starting dating in 2017. Fans fell in love with the stars after they made a public appearance together at the 2019 Oscars and Vanity Fair after-party.

In March 2019, the former baseball player proposed and published photos of her massive $1 million engagement ring. He gushed, “She said yes,” and added a heart emoji.

It was J.Lo’s seventh engagement; she was previously married to Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014, Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003, and Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998.

Jennifer stated in 2019 that their time together was filled with laughter, excitement, and experiences as they grew and learned alongside each other. On their two-year anniversary, the singer posted on Instagram, “You make my world a more beautiful, safe, and stable place…in the midst of our ever-changing, ever-moving life…you make me feel like a teenager starting out all over again…”

However, nearly two years after the proposal, Jennifer said that they “hadn’t really talked” about wedding plans, due in part to the coronavirus outbreak.

“We postponed the wedding twice. “We had planned what we really, really wanted to do, [but] I’m not sure if we’ll be able to recreate that,” she told Elle in January 2021. “We canceled it, and since then we haven’t really talked about it.”

The Hustlers actress didn’t seem concerned at the moment, stating, “There’s no urgency. We want to do it correctly when we can… We just have to wait and see where the world will land.”

Later in January, Alex and Jennifer traveled to Washington, DC, for President Joe Biden’s inauguration, where J.Lo performed. The celebrities were then seen celebrating Valentine’s Day together in Miami.

However, A.Rod recently became embroiled in a social media dispute over a purported relationship with Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy, despite her claim that he was “just an acquaintance.” Madison told Page Six in February that “he’s never physically cheated on his fiancée with me.” According to a source close to Alex, the two have never met.

Despite the ups and downs, TikTok stars play a more vital role outside of the spotlight as parents.

Jennifer and Alex have four children from prior relationships. She and Marc have twins, Max and Emme, who are 13 years old. On the other side, the Yankees player is a father to 16-year-old Natasha and 12-year-old Ella, whom he shares with his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.

They’ve enjoyed spending holidays with their children in the past, with Jennifer telling E! News in 2020, “The holidays were awesome.” We spent the entire day with the kids, and it was beautiful, which recharges me. That fuels me. It gets me excited to go out there and make them proud.”
