Beyoncé thanked her husband and children for surprise her on her birthday with a $20,000 per night private island trip

Beyoncé, her husband Jay-Z, and their children reportedly celebrated their 42nd birthday in a $20,000-per-night villa on a private island.

According to sources who spoke with TMZ for a story published Thursday, the 53-year-old rapper spouse of the “Cuff It” singer rented Mermaid Bay, an affluent cluster of villas nestled within the ultra-opulent private French Polynesia resort The Brando. According to insiders, Beyoncé’s family and entourage arrived to the house last Tuesday and stayed until at least Friday. The main residence is apparently reserved for Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and their three children, Blue Ivy, 11, and twins Rumi and Sir, 6, who are thought to pay around $20,000 per night.

According to the resort’s website, the luxury lodgings include four bedrooms, a full kitchen, a living room, a private terrace, a private pool, an outdoor dining area, and a personal butler. Meanwhile, the couple’s guests enjoyed the remaining eleven villas, which ranged from one to three bedrooms and had private pools. The website emphasizes that each cottage is created responsibly using “natural and contemporary materials” and describes the experience as “a new definition of privacy.”

The resort includes numerous authentic eateries as well as a recreation and health center. Beyoncé, who has been on tour for her “Renaissance” album since May, offered fans a sneak peek into her birthday celebrations on Monday by posting an exclusive Instagram photo of herself with her parents, Tina and Mathew Knowles.

On Jay-Z’s birthday, September 4, the Grammy-winning musician celebrated with balloons and a disco ball-themed cake, as well as posing with her.
