Shakira is dating British actor Lucien Laviscount after falling for the Emily In Paris star while filming her new music video; nevertheless, her newfound romance has raised concerns among her friends, who believe the actor is solely interested in fame.
Their close show in the video for Shakira’s song Punteria, which included a topless Lucien, 31, caressing the Colombian singer’s cheek, fueled rumors that they had started a romance.
Insiders now claim they are dating, but not ‘heavily involved,’ much to the satisfaction of Shakira’s 47-year-old acquaintances, who are concerned he would break her heart.
‘Shakira is desperate to fall in love, but her friends are concerned because Lucien has gradually climbed the celebrity ladder despite dating women who are all less renowned than Shakira,’ a source told DailyMail.com exclusively.

‘The women he has been with are all very different. Now he is seeing Shakira – and she wants love.
‘But her friends fear he just wants people to know his name and she provides that. They are seeing each other but are not heavily involved yet.’
They claimed that she is ‘not over her ex’ Gerard Piqué and that everyone around her ‘knows that Lucien is a rebound.’
‘She is dating someone who they fear is a player and she is going to get burned,’ they finished.

Shakira, who has two kids, Milan, 11, and Sasha, 9, with Gerard, met the British-born actor on the set of her video, in which he plays her love interest, in February.
The Hips Don’t Lie singer is shown wrapped in his arms, and another scene shows a topless Lucien lying across her lap, with a loin cloth protecting his modesty, as she dabs blood from his chest after shooting him with an arrow.
Days after the video was released, the couple was photographed eating supper at the Italian restaurant Carbone in New York City.
Shakira wore a black corset and a leather jacket, while Lucien complemented her in all black.

Before the Columbian beauty, Lucien was linked to former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona.
Lucien and Kerry met on Celebrity Big Brother in 2011, when he was 19 and she was 31. They were recorded kissing and hugging on the show and remained connected after leaving the house.
Kerry previously denied dating Lucien, telling OK! magazine: ‘Lucien was quite charming when I met him in the Celebrity Big Brother house and we had a lovely time, but he was never formally my boyfriend…’
He was also linked to Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson in November 2021 after they were photographed kissing in the back of a rickshaw in London.
Shakira, who made a last-minute bargain with Spanish prosecutors to escape jail for tax fraud last year, was with her partner Gerard for 11 years before splitting in the summer of 2022 amid suspicions he was unfaithful.
He has recently began a relationship with Clara Chia Marti, who is 26 years old.
Shakira recently discussed’rebuilding’ her life after her breakup with the Spanish player, revealing that she put her pain into her 12th studio album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.
‘There were so many pieces of my life that crumbled in front of my eyes and I had to rebuild myself in a way, picking up the bones from the floor and putting them all together,’ she told the Times. ‘And the glue that kept it all together was music.’

The singer came under fire yesterday after she revealed her sons ‘hated’ the Barbie movie as it was ’emasculating.’
‘They felt that it was emasculating,’ she told Allure. ‘And I agree, to a certain extent. I’m raising two boys. I want ’em to feel powerful too [while] respecting women.
‘I like pop culture when it attempts to empower women without robbing men of their possibility to be men, to also protect and provide.
