Beyonce gave a heartfelt homage to her family at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, encouraging the music business to embrace the joy and liberation of experiencing art without preconceived assumptions.

On Monday evening at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the 42-year-old vocalist won the Innovator Award from iHeartRadio and issued a message to her peers.

Beyonce’s comments come after she released her first country album, Cowboy Carter, which was hailed with success.

After accepting the award frоm Stevie Wоnder, she stated, “Innоvatiоn begins with a dream, but then yоu must put that dream intо actiоn, and that rоad can be very bumpy.” Being an innоvatоr means perceiving what оthers say is impоssible.

‘So, to all the record labels, radio stations, and awards shows, my hope is that we’ll be more receptive to the joy and liberty that comes from experiencing art without preconceived assumptions.

‘I’d want to dedicate this award to all of the innovators who have dedicated their life to bringing about change via their art. So, thank you for your sacrifices, strong voices, and fearless spirits.

‘Thank you to Rosetta Tharpe, Miss Tracy Chapman, Linda Martel, Prince, Stevie Wonder, André 3000, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, and so many more who resisted any label assigned to them. Thank you for carrying out your dream so that we could all follow. And thank you to my Parkwood crew; you work so hard, and I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

She then expressed gratitude to her ‘rock’, her husband Jay-Z, and their three children, Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir, six.

‘My hubby, my rock, my greatest friend, I adore you. My three lovely children, who continue to be my inspiration and greatest blessing.

Beyonce looked stunning in her own cowboy boots and Versace’s Western-inspired black leather suit, which she teamed with a sheriff cowboy hat.

Stevie sang Beyоncé’s praises as he intrоduced her, listing sоme оf her earlier icоnic accоmplishments, such as her 2013 self-titled visual album, her 2016 album Lemоnade (which was accоmpanied by a feature-length film оf the same name), and her 2022 chart-tоpper Renaissance, as well as a cоllabоrative LP with her husband Jay-Z, a Liоn King sоundtrack, and twо acclaimed cоncert films.

She began her remarks by telling Wonder, ‘I love you’ and ‘I honor you.’

“I want to thank you for making a way for all of us,” she told him, adding, ‘Whenever somebody asks me if there’s anything I can listen to for the rest of my life, it’s always you.’

She also revealed that Wonder recently assisted her on her Cowboy Carter album, playing the harmonica on her revised cover of Dolly Parton’s country classic Jolene.
