While in Los Angeles on Wednesday for The Hollywood Reporter’s Power Stylists gala, Cardi B gave the little black dress a seductive twist. The celebration honored the publication’s most recent edition, which features a list of the top 25 stylists in the entertainment business.

Cardi B arrived at the event wearing a black Nicolas Jebran midi dress with a thigh-high slit and bodice cutouts, accompanied by her stylist Kollin Carter. She accessorized with a beaded clutch, shoes, and sheer tights. The rapper wore her dark hair up in an updo and applied brown lip liner, coral blush, and icy blue contacts as her makeup.

Since 2017, Carter and Cardi B have collaborated. Highlighted by The Hollywood Reporter was the rapper’s monochromatic appearance at the 2023 Met Gala. Cardi B made an entrance wearing a handmade Chenpeng Studio gown with a quilted skirt and latex camellia appliqués, an obvious tribute to Karl Lagerfeld, the gala’s honoree.

Carter told The Hollywood Reporter, “Karl Lagerfeld was such a force, so I wаnted to pay tribute to him but also incorporate elements of Chanel, one of Cardi’s favorite houses.”

The rapper went on, “There are so many obstacles against us.” For instance, a size 2 should not wear this physique.We make it appear easy, but it was not. Many times, our door was shut, yet we are still here because we are good at what we do.

The top 25 celebrity stylists in the entertainment industry are listed in The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Power Stylists issue. This year’s selections included Molly Dickson, whose clientele includes Sydney Sweeney and Lana Del Rey, and Jason Bolden, who is known for his work with Nicole Kidman and Michael B. Jordan.
