Cardi B Expresses Her Worries About Her New Album While Missy Elliott Offers Support

The “Be Careful” hitmaker’s debut album, “Invasion of Privacy,” was widely praised when it was released in 2018. Cardi is facing a lot of pressure ahead of her sophomore album release. She talked on X, the former nаme for Twitter, last week about her concerns regarding her upcoming endeavor.

She posted on the platform, “6 years ago, I released my first album and it broke so many records GAH LEE!!” “6 years later I’m preparing to drop the next one this year..it’s so different from what everyone is expecting and I’m sooo excited.”

My debut album, which I released six years ago, shattered a ton of records! GAH LEE! After six years, I’m getting ready to release the next one this year, and I’m really happy about it since it’s not at all what everyone is anticipating. Love you everyone and I appreciate your help! I’ll speak with you shortly.

Cardi’s journey has struck a chord not only with her admirers but also with hip-hop icon Missy Elliott, who gave her some words of support.

Yes, without a doubt. Take it from someone who has done so and from many others who were able to avoid being limited to a single voice or style. I can think of several artists whose albums all sounded completely different from one another

She responded to Cardi in an app message, saying, “Absolutely yes, it’s the time to experiment. Take it from someone who experimented and many others which allowed them to NOT be BOXED in to one sound and style.” “I can nаme tons who each of their albums sounded nothing like the one before.”

“Yes! I feel a little uneasy. but I don’t give a dаmn,” Cardi said. “I enjoy performing things that appeal to my ears and express the emotions I’ve been experiencing. It is pleasant to feel.”

Cardi disclosed on “360 with Speedy” on The Complex last month that she “lost herself” and was afraid to release new music for feаr of criticism.

“I just feel like I lost myself with everything, you know, like, a lot of music commenters and everything and a lot of people just be like, you know, ‘She’s afraid to drop an album, she’s afraid to drop music,’” Cardi stated. “I didn’t release much music last year. It seems as though I was simply too afraid to take any action.”

She gave a preview of her next album as the interview came to an end.

“My upcoming announcement won’t resemble a single, type-s – t. I’ll use it as my record cover,” she declared. “After one single, you’ll receive the album. And then it starts to occur.”
