Travis Kelce subtly references Taylor Swift in the midst of ‘New Heights’ live performance, gives tribute to her by one special item

During Thursday night’s “New Heights” live performance in Ohio, Travis Kelce made a sly reference to Taylor Swift.

In his acceptance speech at the University of Cincinnati, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs showed out a number of the iconic friendship bracelets that Swift fans have grown to love.

When Kelce and the “Cruel Summer” singer made their public couple debut at one of Kelce’s football games in September, the friendship bracelets were the first thing fans noticed.

Of course, Swifties will recall Kelce’s ill-fated attempt to woo the pop star by sending a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it to her.

“I never thought it would’ve landed,” Kelce said during a pre-Super Bowl 2024 press conference.

Kelce, 34, shared that he “didn’t even think” he would get “a response” from the “Cats” actress when he declared his interest in her on his “New Heights” podcast.

The athlete also paid homage to his girlfriend, who didn’t attend the event, by dancing to the singer’s hit “Shake It Off.”

“That’s one of my favorites,” he told the crowd at Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati.

Swift was conspicuously absent, but Jason Kelce, his wife Kylie, and their parents, Ed and Donna Kelce, were present.
