Colombian music sensation Shakira captivated the Coachella 2024 audience with an electrifying performance and surprised everyone with a special announcement regarding her upcoming world tour. Collaborating with Argentine DJ Bizarrap, they delivered a dynamic show featuring their latest track, “La Fuerte.”
In a dramatic entrance, Shakira took the stage, and the Sahara backdrop illuminated with the exciting proclamation, “Shakira, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.” Overflowing with enthusiasm, she shared with the crowd, “Finally, we are going on tour. It all begins here, this November, in this city. I can’t wait. It couldn’t be more perfect.”
Her forthcoming tour takes its name from her 12th studio album, “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” marking her return after a seven-year hiatus. Released last month, the album delves into themes of personal growth and recovery post-heartbreak, drawing from Shakira’s own experiences, including her separation from former partner and Barcelona soccer player Gerard Pique.
Building anticipation, Shakira had teased the announcement on Instagram the day before her Coachella performance with the intriguing message, “The wolf is coming.” She later confirmed the news in another post, expressing her excitement to hit the road and “celebrate with my wolfpack.”
These concerts will be Shakira’s first since her 2018 “El Dorado” tour.
Coachella 2024 also showcases performances by Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, Tyler, the Creator, along with other talented artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Suki Waterhouse, and Lil Uzi Vert. Stretching over two weekends, from April 12-14 and April 19-21, the festival takes place in the mesmerizing Colorado Desert.
