Shakira continues to make waves following the release of “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” in late March. She surprised fans with a pop-up concert at TSX in New York City’s Times Square and made an appearance on Hot Ones. However, she took things up a notch on Friday night, April 12th.
During Bizarrap’s set at Coachella 2024, the crowd heard the iconic she-wolf howl, and they knew something special was about to happen. Shakira graced the stage with the words “LA LOBA SE VIENE” (the wolf is coming) displayed on the screen behind her. Shortly after, she used the same screen to announce her upcoming Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.
While specific dates are yet to be announced, Shakira confirmed on stage, “Finally, we are going on tour starting here. Starting here this November. This year in this city! I can’t wait.”
Of course, Shakira couldn’t miss the opportunity to perform “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53” during Bizarrap’s set. Their collaboration had reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 in January 2023.
In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Shakira hinted that she’s likely done writing songs about her ex-partner Gerard Piqué, with whom she had a relationship of around 11 years and shares two children. However, this doesn’t mean she’s done performing her existing songs that were directed towards Piqué, such as “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” especially now that she’s embarking on tour.
