Shakira is reportedly happy and experiencing success since moving from Spain to live in the United States. The Colombian music icon is said to be enjoying a beautiful phase of her life after parting ways with soccer star Gerard Piqué.

The 1977-born singer stated in an interview with The Sunday Times: “I put my singing career on hold for a long time to be by Gerard’s side, so he could freely pursue his football career. I made many sacrifices for this love.” However, it seems that after the romantic relationship ended, she has focused more on herself, her music, as well as making new friendships and connections.

Shakira is said to be living in Miami with her parents, William Mebarak Chadid and Nidia del Carmen Ripoll Torrado, as well as her two sons, Sasha and Milan. When it comes to new friends, Shakira has reportedly become close with Gisele Bündchen, the top Brazilian supermodel who also made headlines after her divorce from football player Tom Brady in October 2022, following 13 years of marriage. After their first meeting, Shakira and Gisele were said to have arranged a nighttime outing with their children. Local moms revealed to Page Six that the singer is very active and comfortable participating in extracurricular activities at her sons’ school, stating, “Shakira joins in a lot of games. She dresses modestly and completely blends in. You wouldn’t even know she is a famous star.”

In addition to regularly taking her children to school, Shakira has been spotted participating in surfing lessons with Sasha and Milan, as well as embarking on jet ski adventures. Gisele has also been seen horseback riding with her two children and practicing jiu-jitsu.
