When questioned about their fourth child on ‘Today’, the ‘IF’ star joked about Swift adding the names of his and Blake Lively’s children in her music.

The fourth child of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively is yet to be named!

When Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb asked about the child’s name on Monday, May 13, the IF actor hinted the couple’s new addition.

“Taylor Swift keeps dropping it into lyrics!” Guthrie added, most likely referring to Swift’s song “Betty” from the 14-time Grammy winner’s 2020 album Folklore, which features the names of his oldest three children.

When Guthrie asked Reynolds, 47, if the new baby’s name appears on Swift’s new album The Tortured Poets Department, he joked, “We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child’s name is, and I’ll say this: We’re still waiting.”

The father of four went on to say of Swift, 34, “She’s a prolific writer—I mean, what are we doing here? And ‘lazy’ is not a word I would associate with Taylor.”

The film “Betty” stars Reynolds and Lively’s third child, Betty, 4½, as well as her elder sisters Ines, 7½, and James, 9. The couple went on to reveal that they were expecting their fourth child in September 2022, and that they would welcome the new addition in February 2023.

Reynolds previously stated that they kept their daughters’ identities in “Betty” a secret from them until the tune was completed, adding in a SiriusXM Town Hall interview in August 2021, “We surprised them with it.”

“They didn’t know,” said the Deadpool and Wolverine star. “They had no idea.”

He continued by joking, “We don’t tell them anything; we find they’re most compliant if you offer them no access to outside information.”

While Reynolds and Lively, 36, have not revealed information about their youngest kid, Reynolds stated in a November 2022 interview on the Today show that he and his wife “never find out” the gender of their children “’til [they’re born].”

Reynolds acknowledged their fourth kid on social media in June, when he debuted his new series Bedtime Stories with Ryan.

In the Instagram post, the father of four shared a video of himself ready to read a book to a pair of animatronic sheep, as well as a footage of himself relaxing on a rooftop.

Reynolds stated in the description, “The idea for a show made to help everyone fall asleep was born on the same day as my fourth child.”

IF is in cinemas on Friday, May 17.
