When questioned about their fourth child on the ‘Today’ show, the ‘IF’ star joked about Swift using the names of his and Blake Lively’s children in her music.

Nobody knows what Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s fourth child is named yet!
When Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie wanted to know the name of the couple’s new baby, the IF actor teased them during Monday, May 13’s appearance on the Today show.
Guthrie exclaimed, “Taylor Swift keeps dropping it into lyrics!” in reference to Swift’s 2020 album Folklore, which features the names of her oldest three children. Swift is a 14-time Grammy winner. The song “Betty” is among the tracks on the album.
When Guthrie, 47, inquired as to whether Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, contained any mention of the baby’s name, Reynolds playfully said, “We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child’s name is, and I’ll say this: We’re still waiting.”

The father of four went on to quip of Swift, 34, “She’s a prolific writer — I mean, what are we doing here? And ‘lazy’ is not a word I’d attach to Taylor.”
“Betty” not only features the name of Reynolds and Lively’s third child Betty, 4½, but also her older sisters Ines, 7½, and James, 9. The pair went on to announce they were expecting their fourth child in September 2022, and had welcomed the newest addition by February 2023.

During a SiriusXM Town Hall interview in August 2021, Reynolds revealed that they kept the names of their girlfriends in “Betty” a secret from them until the tune was completed. “We surprised them with it.”
“They didn’t know,” added the Deadpool & Wolverine star. “They had no idea.”
He went on to joke, “We don’t tell them anything; we find they’re most compliant if you offer them no access to outside information.”

The 36-year-old Reynolds and his wife Lively have been mum about their third child so far, but in an interview he gave to the Today show in November 2022, he did say that they “never find out” the sex of their children ” ’til [they’re born].”
During the social media announcement of his new series Bedtime Stories with Ryan the following June, Reynolds brought up their fourth child.
A video showing the father of four lounging on a rooftop and another of him getting ready to read a book to two animatronic sheep were both included in the Instagram post.
According to Reynolds, “the idea for a show made to help everyone fall asleep was born the same day as my fourth child.” This was stated in the caption.
