Katy Perry stuns in a 20-foot-tall garment displaying the faces of 168 American Idol contestants as she bows out of the show after seven seasons – and hints about her replacement

Katy Perry found a meaningful way to honor her stint as a judge on America Idol, which ended on Sunday after seven seasons.

The 39-year-old pop artist hit the stage in a massive, 20-foot-tall garment featuring the faces of every top 24 candidate who appeared on the show throughout her tenure.

The gown ultimately had 168 faces on it and was so intricate that it required a team of seven individuals to transport it around the set.

‘I thought a good way to honor my time here would be to put the top 24 of each season on my skirt so they were all there,’ the Part of Me hitmaker told Entertainment Tonight.

‘It was a fun surprise because I was raising up and you just saw more and more contestants.’

PeRry also revealed who she believes will take her position on the popular singing show.

While she did not name anyone directly, the singer expressed her wish that her successor will be bold.

I’m hoping it’s someone fearless. I hope it’s someone who doesn’t mince words, perhaps someone a little polarizing like me,’ she remarked.

Perry became upset when she stepped onto the stage on Sunday for her final show as a judge on American Idol on ABC.

For seven seasons of the show, the pop sensation wore a strapless and sleeveless metallic top with seven roses, as well as a long white skirt.

She linked hands with fellow judges Luke Bryan, 47, and Lionel Richie, 74, as host Ryan Seacrest, 49, introduced them.
