Gracie Abrams transitioned from Eras Tour opening to official Taylor Swift collaborator.

Abrams, 24, stated that her upcoming album The Secret of Us, which will be released on Friday, June 21, will feature Swift, 34, on a song called “Us.”

“Screaming so loud,” Abrams wrote on Instagram on Monday, May 13, revealing the record’s tracklist and multiple yellow heart emoticons. Fans were quick to note Swift’s name and left numerous remarks.

“I am f-king sorry. “What do you mean, FT Taylor Swift?” one admirer wrote. Another person wrote, “FEATURING TAYLOR SWIFT?”

It’s worth noting that the majority of the comments were written in all capital letters, with several crying out “TayGracie,” which is clearly a mix of Abrams and Swift’s first names.

Abrams opened for Swift on the first leg of her Eras Tour, which ran from March to August 2023. Swift revealed Abrams as one of her opening performers in November 2022, months after the singer-songwriters began their acquaintance.

Abrams described her Eras Tour experience as “a real masterclass” while speaking with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last week.

“I felt like I was in college doing this work. “I watched every single one of her shows that I was fortunate enough to open,” she admitted on the May 8 broadcast. “I watched from every place possible in each stadium, just trying to pick up on how she’s able to do what she does.”

Abrams previously described the Eras Tour as “the best experience of my life” during an interview with Variety in December 2023. “To have that become a part of my weekly routine for four months straight has bled into kind of all ways of my life, not just how joyful I feel internally, but the songs that we’ve been making,” she stated.

Aside from performing together, Abrams and Swift share shared friends. Abrams teased that she produced The Secret of Us with “some of my favourite people” in an April 29 Instagram post, referring to Aaron in the caption. Fans deduced that she was alluding to Aaron Dessner, one of Swift’s frequent collaborators.
