The 34-year-old pop queen gave an emotional message to fans during the second show of her Eras Tour in Lisbon, Portugal, on Saturday, May 25, sharing how much fun she’s having performing there and calling it “an absolute dream” to be among the Portuguese crowd.

In a video from the concert broadcast on X (formerly Twitter), Swift began by standing centre stage and stating that “we are currently in the Red era” of her act, before outlining how she previously released albums such as Fearless, Speak Now, and Red and then went on tour for them.

“And during the course of those tours… we made so many fun memories, but the one thing that I wish I would have done differently is I wish I could have brought every one of those tours to come see you in Lisbon,” said the performer.

She then said that she intended the Eras Tour “to be all of my favourite memories from those previous tours and put them all in one show, so that now we can all experience those memories together.” And that’s why I believe I’m having so much fun with you on this tour,” Swift continued as the audience cheered.

The performer then said, “I have to say. I’ve never seen such a large throng in my life. There have already been moments in this show where I’ve forgotten what I’m meant to do next or say because I’m so distracted by how much fun you’re having and how you’re acting in front of the audience. “I love this.”

Taylor Swift plays at Friends Arena on May 17, 2024, in Stockholm, Sweden.

“You’re just so in the moment and I cannot tell you how special that is for us as performers to get to look out and make eye contact with you and connect with you in this way,” said Swift.

The singer also stated that it was “an absolute dream to be here with you tonight.” Before I start crying, I’d want to play you one song from the red album if you have approximately ten minutes to spare. “Do you have 10 minutes?”

Swift then began performing a 10-minute version of “All Too Well.”

On May 24, 2024, Taylor Swift will perform in Estadio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal. 

The singer performed two gigs in Lisbon as part of her Eras tour on May 24 and 25. Her tour appearances in Portugal are her first and second time performing in the country.

Swift astonished fans by speaking Portuguese at her debut gig on Friday, May 24. In a video released by The Hollywood Reporter on X at the beginning of her show, Swift said to the audience, “Muito obrigada,” which translates as “thank you very much” in English. According to social media recordings, the artist later in the event beckoned security in Portuguese and pleaded with fans in the crowd for assistance.

During the event, one of her surprise tracks was an acoustic guitar mashup of “The Tortured Poets Department,” the title track of her record-breaking new album, as well as “Now That We Don’t Talk” from the 1989 (Taylor’s Version) vault.
