Joe Alwyn almost avoided an unpleasant encounter with his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift at Chiltern Firehouse on Wednesday night.
Joe paid Taylor a brief 20-minute visit 48 hours after she partied at the famous hotspot with beau Travis Kelce, 34, till early Monday morning.
Joe, 33, had been in a secret, ‘totally devoted’ relationship with Taylor, 34, for six years, but abruptly departed the five-star hotel in Marylebone, London, for an undisclosed reason.
The actor looked smart in a Gucci co-ord, paired with a white ribbed polo shirt.
He appeared to be in good spirits despite leaving the famed London spot quickly after attending a designer-hosted dinner earlier in the evening.

48 hours after Taylor partied at the celebrity hotspot till the early hours of Monday morning with boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34, Joe paid a brief 20 minute visit
Taylor partied into the early hours on Sunday evening with boyfriend Travis and a group of celebrity friends, following three sold-out London gigs.
Despite performing in front of 88,000 fans for more than three and a half hours at Wembley Stadium, the pop queen had plenty of energy to let her hair down.
Taylor caught the attention in a colourful crocheted minidress as she exited the bar-restaurant with Travis.
The singer completed her look with a pair of yellow block heels, keeping accessories to a minimum as she celebrated a successful run of gigs in the English city.
Travis took his fiancée to a waiting car while wearing a lemon yellow co-ord and trainers, which he paired with a stunning Louis Vuitton bucket hat.
The British actor’s visit to the city comes only days after his ex-girlfriend Taylor played three sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium.
Joe revealed his split from Taylor Swift and their ‘long, loving, deeply dedicated relationship’ in a recent interview with The Sunday Times Style.
When asked if he’d listened to her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, Joe said he ‘hopes’ people can ‘understand the challenges’ that come with a breakup.

The outing comes after Joe broke his silence about his split from Taylor Swift and their ‘ long, loving, fully committed relationship ‘ in a recent interview with The Sunday Times Style
He said: ‘In thinking on what I was going to say, I would think and hope that anyone and everyone can empathise. … This isn’t a direct answer to your question, but just thinking about what I want to talk about.
‘I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathise and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years,’ he continued.
The Boy Erased actor admitted their relationship had been ‘a hard thing to navigate.’
As Swifties speculated on which songs could be about Joe, a source told People in April that he is ‘dating and happy.’
‘He’s a lovely man who isn’t into drama,’ the insider added, adding that Joe’moved on’ from Taylor.
After their romance ended last year, the insider said he ‘definitely doesn’t talk negatively about her,’ adding that ‘He was in love with her, and it just didn’t work out.’
Joe is ‘doing well’ and ‘focused on work,’ according to the insider. ‘Joe enjoys acting but dislikes the attention that comes with it. He dislikes being in the spotlight.
