Shakira demonstrated why she was chosen to portray the graceful Gazelle in Disney’s Zootopia at the Los Angeles premiere. The 39-year-old Colombian singer looked elegant in a pink Mac Duggal skater dress, captivating the cameras on the red carpet with flirtatious gestures, blowing kisses, and showcasing her radiant smile. Her dress featured neon rose buds, a modest Peter Pan collar, and a ladylike flared skirt.
Despite the demure attire, Shakira maintained her trademark allure with a glimpse of her enviable legs in towering heels and carried a charming clutch in one hand.
In the new animated film, Shakira voices Gazelle, a pop star, and performs the song “Try Everything,” written by Sia and Stargate.
During the Barcelona premiere earlier this month, Shakira disclosed her involvement in shaping her character’s appearance, revealing that she urged animators to give Gazelle a more curvaceous figure, feeling the initial depiction was too slim.
“They were supposed to animate first and then record my voice, but it was the opposite,” Shakira shared. “They recorded my voice to capture the emotions of the scene and then animated the character to my voice to reproduce the expressions. It was interesting for me.”
Describing her character as “opinionated” yet socially responsible, Shakira emphasized their shared traits.
