Later that evening, Shakira was eagerly anticipating her performance of “Medicine” with fellow The Voice coach and ACM nominee Blake Shelton. The duo collaborated on the song for Shakira’s latest self-titled studio album. Apparently, Shakira showcased the song to the award show’s producers in a private meeting she arranged, and they were so impressed that they invited her and Blake to perform it at the ceremony on Sunday, as reported by Ryan Seacrest.
