Accompanied by a troupe of dancers clad in metallic trousers and sleeveless crop tops, Shakira’s performance was highly anticipated.

Announcing her appearance earlier in the week, Alejandro Domínguez, president of CONMEBOL, praised Shakira as an extraordinary South American star whose global appeal transcends borders and unites millions through her music.
