Spotify has been roasting listeners for years with its year-end playlists. Now, the firm is making fun of the 2023 Grammy Awards.

The streaming service just created a Bad Bunny- and Taylor Swift-themed playlist dubbed “Speaking Non-English,” an homage to CBS’ “speaking non-English” closed captioning that showed on screen when Bad Bunny performed and won his award for Best Música Urbana Album during the event on Sunday.

So, why was Swift included? She was seen dancing along to Bad Bunny’s medley of tracks from his chart-topping album Un Verano Sin Ti at the start of the show, and the pair caused a stir among fans when they posed for photos together later in the evening.

The playlist, which includes music such as Bad Bunny’s “El Apagón” and Swift’s “Lavender Haze,” includes a photo of the two that Bad Bunny posted on social media. Along with the image, Spotify asks, “When is the collaboration?” — or “When’s the collab?”

While the West Coast encore and Paramount+ on-demand broadcasts of the Grammys were updated to include Spanish-language closed captioning during Bad Bunny’s performance and acceptance speech, the absence of closed captioning during the initial broadcast sparked outrage on social media, with some fans calling it ignorant and racist.Spotify pokes fun at Grammys with Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift ...

The Grammy winner even addressed the topic quietly in his own Instagram post Tuesday, thanking “the ones that understand me and the ones who don’t too.”

“The most lovely word in existence is THANK YOU. I am grateful to God for life and for the love I have received. “I’m grateful I get to experience moments I never imagined,” Bad Bunny wrote in Spanish. “I’m grateful for the individuals who honestly love me, who sincerely support me, who understand me, and who don’t. I’m grateful to be able to do what I love most in music. I’m glad and proud of myself, and I’d like to express my gratitude.”
