Shakira Wows Fans with Age-Defying Appearance and New Album
Shakira has stunned fans with her ageless look and vibrant performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Grammy-winning artist, who is nearing 50, was the center of attention as she promoted her first album in seven years, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (“Women No Longer Cry”).
At 47, Shakira dazzled with a revealing outfit that showcased her signature style. Her top, a crochet piece, barely covered what was necessary, while she paired it with long white pants. Despite the revealing outfit, it was her energetic performance that truly captivated her audience, filled with the dynamic hip-shaking and gyrating she’s known for.
The appearance quickly went viral, with fans marveling at her youthful appearance. Comments ranged from “She looks like 26 here” to expressions of envy from those admiring her agelessness.
Fountain of Youth
In a recent conversation with YouTuber Melanie Murphy, Shakira shared some of her secrets for maintaining her youthful glow. She revealed her skincare routine, emphasizing the importance of vitamin C for collagen production and brightening the skin. She also uses a vitamin E product and religiously applies sunscreen to protect her skin.
Shakira’s skincare regimen also includes nightly makeup removal, using either a cleansing brush or a washcloth to ensure all impurities are gone before bed.
New Album and Personal Reinvention
Shakira’s new album comes as she continues to redefine herself following her breakup from former partner Gerard Piqué in 2022. The split was reportedly triggered by Piqué’s infidelity, an issue Shakira uncovered when she noticed some of her favorite strawberry jam had gone missing from the fridge.
Describing the creation of Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, Shakira said, “Making this body of work has been an alchemical process. While writing each song, I was rebuilding myself. While singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength.”
Recently, Shakira seemed to throw a subtle jab at Piqué by sharing a video of Arsenal fans singing a version of her hit “Waka Waka.” The post, captioned “Go Arsenal!” references a rival of Piqué’s former team, Manchester United, further showcasing her renewed confidence and resilience.
